Situated on the reclaimed site of the Old Joggins No. 7 Coal Mine, the Joggins Fossil Centre is your entrance and guide to the Joggins Fossil Cliffs.

Each year from May 1 to mid-October, the Joggins Fossil Centre is open to the public seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm, excluding Truth and Reconciliation Day and Thanksgiving.

Admission

Admission to our gallery, excluding a guided tour to the Joggins Fossil Cliffs:
  • Adults: $7.50/person, taxes in
  • Students/Seniors: $6.50/person, taxes in
  • Children aged five and under: FREE

The Roundhouse Café

Relax and enjoy delicious treats and a drink at The Roundhouse Café.

Enjoy a hot beverage like coffee, hot chocolate, or a range of black, green, and herbal teas. Pair it with a biscuit, a cookie, or a cinnamon bun!

The Roundhouse Café is named after the railway building that once stood nearby and housed steam locomotives.

The Gift Shop

Don’t forget to stop by out gift shop for a Joggins Fossil Cliffs shirt, hoodie, or hat. We also stock books for all ages and a large selection of jewelry, prints, knitted wear, home goods and more.

We aim to showcase local artists and artisans. Nova Scotia is a place where creativity and artistic talent are everywhere, and we are proud to sell wares made by members of our community.

Facility rentals

We have a multi-purpose room that is suitable for events including conferences, weddings, proms, birthdays, retirement parties, classes, and more!

We provide:
  • a large meeting space, which can comfortably seat up to 60 people and includes a beautiful view of a Bay of Fundy
  • parking for commercial tour buses is free — we have space for 7 buses
  • WIFI and audio/video equipment available upon request.
  • Catering available upon request for additional fees
We can cater your party with just refreshments or with a lunch. Our prices are reasonable, and we offer a unique experience for tour groups.
